Our mission

IT Ateljee will be a place where information will be dealt with creatively. Conducting our activities, modern technology might be used, but also old ideas may prove viable. Our interests are broad-ranging and cover areas such as: pattern recognition, computer vision, sound recognition, genetic algorithms, and neural networks. We may be using such techniques when building web content, when monitoring machines from a distance, or, you name it. Of course, we need not use the fun stuff all the time, or everywhere, though, we also like to, say, use some robust CMS to build your business site, or create your web shop. The fact is, we love manipulating information, and trying extracting it from one source or another. We want to make it available in the most useful manner. At the same time we feel the urge to experiment, every now and then; it keeps us sharp, it strengthens our intuitions, it tickles our creativity, it boosts ideas. We need it. And in the end, our customers should and will profit.

That is why we like to look at our business as it being an atelier. We will be selling reproductions there, sure enough, to keep the pencils wet. But there will be that masterpiece, someday, making it all worthwhile. Because, then, the insight we will be gaining, will be great!

The idea is to make the site bilingual. That is, I will be writing texts in my native language, Dutch, and English. I like the idea of a tutor; so if you native speakers of the English language feel the urge to correct my mistakes (in grammar and style), then please do correct me...
